Sales look huge. Deposits never match. Where did the money go?

Shopify, Amazon, Stripe and PayPal deposits never equal gross sales.
Fees, refunds, chargebacks and holds get lumped into one mess.
Sales tax and inventory/COGS are a guess until tax time.
You can’t tell which channel actually makes money.
Our team ties payouts to real sales every month so you can trust the P&L.

Rektio Accounting gives e-commerce brands doing $1 million to $15 million a year a team of two or three people. They do your monthly bookkeeping and controller work in QuickBooks Online. Payouts, fees, refunds and COGS get sorted instead of being dumped into one line. Plans start at $1,500 a month.

✓ QuickBooks Online first ✓ A team of 2-3 on every account ✓ From $1,500/month

What does the team do each month?

The same team handles your books every month:

  • Record and sort every transaction
  • Match Shopify, Amazon and processor payouts to sales
  • Separate fees, refunds, chargebacks and holds
  • Track inventory and COGS so margin means something
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
  • Close the books every month
  • A U.S.-based account manager reviews the work before you see it
  • Send plain-English monthly reports

Why do e-commerce books get messy?

Money hits your bank in lumps. Inside each payout are sales, fees, refunds, chargebacks, holds and sometimes sales tax. If that lands as one deposit, your gross sales and margin are wrong. Inventory and COGS often lag behind too. We break it apart every month so the books match what actually happened.

How does an in-house hire compare to the Rektio team?

An in-house hire and an outside team offer different ways to cover the work. Compare the scope, review and backup plan, not just the headcount.

Do you work with Shopify and Amazon sellers?

Yes. Your store and marketplace tools run the sales. We keep QuickBooks Online clean and make the deposits and fees match. Tell us your stack on the call.

What does it cost?

Monthly service starts at $1,500 a month. Your price depends on how many transactions you have, how many entities you run and how much controller help you need. We tell you the price before we start. Tax help and fractional CFO work are add-ons. We’re not the cheapest option, and we don’t try to be.

Who are we not a fit for?

We’d rather tell you now. We’re not a fit if:

  • You need an audit or other assurance work. We don’t do that.
  • You only want your taxes done. Tax help is an add-on to our monthly bookkeeping, not a stand-alone service.
  • You’re shopping for the lowest price. We’re not the cheapest.
  • You want a one-time project. We only take on ongoing monthly work. Catch-up for new monthly clients is built into onboarding or a special project. It is not a stand-alone cleanup.

Straight answers

Are you a CPA firm?

No. Rektio Accounting is a bookkeeping and controller team. We don’t do audits or other assurance work.

Do you do taxes?

Tax help is an add-on to our monthly bookkeeping. We don’t take on tax returns by themselves.

What software do you use?

We work in QuickBooks Online first. Your store and marketplace tools stay where they are.

What if my books are behind?

If your books are behind when you start with us, we almost always build catch-up into the onboarding fee or handle it as a special project for new monthly clients. We don’t take catch-up work on its own.

Is there a long-term contract?

We’re month-to-month with 30 days’ notice.

Where are you based?

Fishers, Indiana. We’ve served clients across the USA since October 2018.

Ready to stop doing the books?

Book a call. We’ll look at where your books are and tell you straight if we’re a fit.
